Welcome to College Yard and Highnam Surgeries

Welcome to our website. We hope it will be easier to find the information you are looking for.

The College Yard Surgery was built in 1986 and is located in Mount Street just behind the Cathedral in Gloucester city.  It provides care for approximately 1800 inner city patients.  The Highnam Surgery was built in 1994 and now looks after 2700 patients.  In total the practice cares for about 4500 patients.

Patients registered with the practice are cared for by any of the GPs who work at both surgeries.

With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.

Get Well, Keep Well

Of course we’re not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition.

We hope you enjoy having a look around the site and familiarising yourself with some of the online features such as ordering a repeat prescription. Access

Both The College Yard  and The Highnam Surgery prides itself on its disabled access facilities. We have designated parking spaces close to the surgery entrance and a toilet fully equipped with hand rails, low washing facilities, handles etc.

As part of the Disability Discrimination Act we have now recently purchased mobile induction loops at both surgeries to assist the hard of hearing.
